About Fraser Dods

B.Sc.P.T.,  Dip SPT,  Former NBA/CFL/NHL/Nat Ski team Physio

Fraser is a Canadian-trained Physical (Physio) Therapist, who began his sports medicine career as a trainer to the University of Alberta Varsity Football team (1984-87) and assistant trainer to the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League. On graduation with a B. Sc. PT,  he took an academic position at the University of Alberta Glen Sather Sports Medicine Clinic where he continued to treat the varsity athletes, and teach athletic therapy to university undergraduate students.

In 1988 Fraser joined the Canadian National Alpine Ski Team as the physiotherapist and dryland conditioning coordinator. Following this, he took a position with Lindsay Park Sports Medicine Center where he split time between a clinical position and the head therapist role with the Calgary 88’s of the World Basketball League.

Serving as a Senior Therapist at Lindsay Park for the next 7 years, Fraser treated orthopaedic conditions and sports injuries of the public and elite athletes in Calgary. During this time he was a clinical consultant with the Calgary Flames of the NHL, and became the physiotherapist to the Alberta Ballet Company and Decidedly Jazz Danceworks.  Fraser added a Diploma in Sports Physical Therapy to his academic achievements, accrediting him to work at Olympic and international sporting events of the highest caliber.

In 1997 Fraser was enticed to Kuwait as part of a teaching/clinical physiotherapy project with Dalhousie University, providing intensive clinical and theoretical teaching to eight Kuwait Ministry of Health

orthopaedic departments and managing an outpatient ortho PT team staffed by a multidisciplinary group of Canadian healthcare providers.

In early 2000, he established “Physio Logic Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine Clinic” in Providenciales,  Turks and Caicos Islands, where his professional approach is strongly based on active treatment; manual therapy, strengthening, stretching and exercise. He continues his commitment to health and sports, working with the TCI national men’s and women’s soccer teams, TCI rugby and track and field teams, and has recently acted as a rehabilitation consultant to a 6-time National Basketball Association All-star.

Fraser continues to deliver intensive, one-on-one bodywork, rehabilitation and sport performance training from his clinic in Turks and Caicos. His clients include island sports teams, TCI residents and high profile clients from the sports, business and entertainment worlds who vacation in the TCI during their 'off time' to rest, recuperate and rejuvenate.
